History

The Beginning

Revival Center Ministries Church of God in Christ (COGIC) began October 29, 1978 in Troy, Ohio under the leadership of Willie E. Mitchell, Sr. and Marva L. Mitchell.

Early Change

Following a Joseph experience, God called Bishop Marva to preach. Since the COGIC organization did not accept women preachers, Pastor Willie separated from the organization, declared independence and installed Marva as associate pastor of Revival Center Ministries, Non-Denominational.

Move to Dayton

The ministry moved to Dayton, Ohio holding services at the Jefferson Township YMCA.

Another Move

When the ministry outgrew the YMCA, we moved to a larger facility on Hoover Avenue. Love School was birthed out of desire to help children with meals, reading and ministry.

On a Mission

On our first missionary journey, we opened a school in Nairobi, Kenya South Africa.

God’s WILL

God’s Women in Local Leadership (God’s WILL) launched. Pastor Willie became a spiritual father to other pastors, so after only two conferences, God’s WILL expanded to include men. God’s Workers in Local Leadership served about thirty churches.

Impact!

Project Impact opened its doors to help families in the inner city.

RCMI

We moved to 3011 Oakridge Drive and changed our name to Revival Center Ministries, International!

The Nations

God opened doors for a mission trip to Egypt which unleashed the floodgates of global ministry. Opportunities to preach the gospel of Christ also occurred in Mexico, India and other African countries.

Dedication

Pastor Marva was dedicated as bishopric by Bishop Carlton Pearson.

Pastor Paul

Paul O. Mitchell was ordained as senior pastor of Revival Center Ministries, International.

Triumphant

We planted our first church, Triumphant Ministries, in Troy, Ohio with RCMI Elders Mike & LaDonna Williams as the pastors. The Williams’ joined the ministry at its original location in Troy, Ohio.
